Speed ​​and flexibility to the labor market - Treamer raised funding to scale its business in Finland and abroad

 

On-demand staffing service Treamer and Alma Media have entered into a EUR 1.5 million euro investment agreement. Financing will be used to accelerate the growth of Treamer's business both in Finland and in new target markets.

Treamer has also been selected for Business Finland's Young Innovative Companies program. Through the program, the most promising startups in Finland will receive a maximum of EUR 1.25 million non-dilutive funding for internationalization.

Treamer is a Maria 01-based award winning startup, providing an on-demand staffing platform to connect businesses looking for casual labour with the members of the Treamer app. Treamer also provides longer-term employment. Founded in 2015, Treamer currently has more than 40 000 users.

Personnel outsourcing and digitalization are permanently changing the personnel services industry. The workforce is moving online and the online job placement market is estimated to grow by as much as 40-60% year-on-year (Source: Staffing Industry Analysts).

Flexible job matching platforms provide flexibility, cost savings and efficiency in personnel management and a fast, easy and transparent way for employees to earn additional income. 

For Alma Media, investing in Treamer is a natural next step in digital services.

Treamer's largest customers in 2019 were the City of Helsinki, Palmia, Lassila & Tikanoja and Heinon Tukku. The company's earnings are based on the percentage of the service fee charged from customers. The company pays employees salaries plus bonuses each week. Treamer's revenue has grown rapidly in recent years and in 2019 was EUR 1.7 million.

The investment will be made by Alma Career, which specializes in recruitment businesses. Alma Career is part of the Alma Media Group and operates in 10 European countries.
